A new phase of development: how Aircash is building its position in the European fintech market
The past year was a period in which we at Aircash navigated market uncertainty and global instability very well. Despite the pressures that marked the European markets, from inflation to government tax interventions, we achieved stable growth and further strengthened our international position. Romania is an example of such an environment, where a large budget deficit is being offset by an increased tax burden. This directly reduces citizens' purchasing power and thereby affects spending, and with it the volume of payments through our platform. Nevertheless, through rapid adaptation and process optimisation, we managed to sustain growth even in more demanding markets.

In business terms, 2025 was a year of major strides. The most significant technological project was the launch of Baltazar, an advanced in-house system for secure transaction processing and monitoring. We developed it to ensure an even higher level of security, scalability and control, which is crucial in a period of intense growth and an increasingly complex international environment. In terms of investment, the year was marked by strategic sports partnerships that further position the Aircash brand in major European markets. In Italy, we became the main sponsor of the football club Verona, the first time a Croatian company has been the main sponsor of a club from one of the “Big Five” leagues. In Spain, we established a collaboration with the Baskonia Alaves group, and in Croatia, partnerships with the volleyball, handball and water polo federations. Sport has the power to connect communities, and through such projects we bring Aircash even closer to users across Europe.

The wider ICT sector in 2025 was marked by growing investment in advanced security technologies, automation and the consolidation of services within a single platform. With consumer behaviour changing rapidly, users now expect as many services as possible to be available within a single app, and to be able to use that app across different markets. With this in mind, we are continuously developing Aircash, adapting its functionalities to the needs of individual countries. An example of such development is the introduction of train, bus and ferry ticket purchases in multiple markets (Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Spain, Germany and Austria) through our collaboration with the Traveling platform. In this way, we are not only expanding our offering, but also creating a unified user ecosystem tailored to the habits of travellers and mobile users.

We expect 2026 to be a year of further acceleration in the technology sector, but also a year in which geopolitical uncertainty will continue to affect the European context. We plan to continue expanding into the countries of the Adria region and to acquire users more aggressively in large markets such as Italy, Spain and Czechia. The trend of consolidating different services within a single app will remain dominant, as will the strengthening of security standards and the integration of AI models into everyday processes. For us, this means continuing to develop the app and the marketplace, further improving the user experience, and placing an even greater focus on transaction security and automation.

In the year ahead, we expect continued growth and a further strengthening of our position in the European market, with ongoing investment in technology, security and internationalisation, three areas that will remain key to our development.
