We would like to remind you once again that as of January 1, 2023, the euro becomes the official currency of the Republic of Croatia. Until December 31, 2022, the official currency is the Croatian kuna, and from January 1, 2023, the official currency is the euro. From January 1 to January 14, 2023, you can make cash payments in both currencies.
No worries with Aircash
Aircash wants to make this transition easier for you by automatically converting your kunas into euros at the fixed exchange rate.
This means you don’t have to worry about conversion.
All kunas you deposit into your Aircash account by January 1, 2023, whether in cash or by bank card, will be converted into euros.
On the day the euro is introduced, the kuna amount in your Aircash wallet will automatically be converted into euros. No fee will be charged for the conversion.
How will we convert your kuna balance to euros on your Aircash account?
The conversion will be done at the fixed exchange rate in accordance with the Law on the Introduction of the Euro as the Official Currency in Croatia. The fixed conversion rate is 1.00 EUR = 7.53450 HRK.
Converted amounts will be rounded to two decimal places, according to mathematical rounding rules (if the third decimal is five or higher, the second decimal increases by one).
For example, this means that:
100 HRK = 13.27228 EUR, rounded to 13.27 EUR
50 HRK = 6.63614 EUR, rounded to 6.64 EUR
The fixed conversion rate is publicly available on the official euro introduction website www.euro.hr.
